A contemporary high-end hotel, which features traditional arches with a modern aesthetic, is set to become a landmark in Hamilton City’s South End. The proposed five-storey hotel on Hood Street has been designed to maximise the contained site, and offer both visitors and locals inviting accommodation, hospitality and commercial premises.
A double height atrium, with sympathetic landscaping both inside and out, will enhance the hotel’s visual appeal and provide a welcoming streetscape in the hub of Hamilton’s hospitality district. The ground floor will accommodate reception, restaurant, bar, and parking, with traditional hotel facilities, such as a gym, located on Level 1. Commercial space has also been incorporated in the design, with the remaining floors dedicated to spacious hotel rooms, designed around a central outdoor courtyard, thereby ensuring filtered natural light and privacy for guests.

The construction of the hotel, to be undertaken with project partners Ultimate Global Group, is as contemporary as the hotel’s design. Modular prefabricated rooms will be manufactured off site, then positioned as development proceeds.
Chow:Hill’s design of the proposed $30million project is influenced by a theme of revitalisation, in keeping with the desire by Hamilton City Council, Hamilton Waikato Tourism and neighbouring businesses to inject further activity in Hamilton’s hospitality sector.
