Architectural Technician, Ropate Nasau, enjoys the problem-solving challenges of his work and values the social role of architecture in addressing one of humanity’s most basic needs.
Educated and trained in his Fijian homeland, Ropate was involved with a range of residential, commercial and resort projects in the islands for six years. Administrative and technical roles gave him both experience and insight into key stages of the construction process, from concept designs to client liaison, site visits to tender documentation.
After moving to New Zealand in 2015 and undertaking further study, Ropate gained additional knowledge within the profession. Ropate’s meticulous attention to detail enables him to convey stories through sets of drawings and he enjoys the freedom the architectural industry gives him to be creative and artistic for his clients.
A self-motivated worker with a strong social conscience, Ropate loves a good coffee – and watching a great game of rugby, preferably with the Crusaders on the field!
