Chow:Hill Senior Principal Jane Hill has a passion for collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups to create agile, sustainable and inspiring people-centred environments.
Her keen professional and personal interest in creating dynamic and sustainable design has seen Jane shape learning and working environments across New Zealand and overseas. Inspired by the opportunities her chosen industry presents, Jane enjoys the challenge of transforming a blank sheet of paper into a design brief, to realise a client’s vision.
Jane’s master planning and urban design expertise, both in a campus and community context, has her working with clients, communities and project partners, on the long-term enhancement of an environment’s useability. This strategic insight, combined with her research and hands-on design experience in the field of tertiary education design, has enabled Jane to develop expertise across multiple sectors and deliver agile, human-centred concepts that shape the experiences of all users.
With a keen interest in pedagogy, Jane takes a strategic approach to learning space design to deliver a future focused and functional campus experience. Recent learning-focused projects of note include the award-winning Wintec Engineering and Trades Facility, Toi Ohomai’s Te Ara o Mauao, and Gisborne District Council H B Williams Library.
She also actively contributes to conferences in New Zealand and Australia focused on the future of campus development.
