A Registered Architect with work experience in both Hong Kong and New Zealand, Chow:Hill Senior Principal, Anner Chong believes in creating healing and supportive environments through collaborative design.
Anner’s enthusiasm for great design is contagious and is shared among her colleagues and stakeholders for each project on which she is engaged. Passionate about creating health and wellbeing environments, Anner’s empathetic approach to healthcare design sees her deliver projects that blend style with compassion.
Experienced in healthcare, laboratory and large-scale housing design, Anner plays a proactive role in user group facilitation and client liaison to ensure the delivery of uniquely designed facilities. Some of Anner’s most notable projects include Waipapa Christchurch Hospital Acute Services Building, Auckland City Hospital Adult Rehabilitation Integrated Stroke Unit and Braemar Hospital, Hamilton.
Anner has been involved in housing research and community-based projects and consultation. She has developed skills in field research proposal development within complex socio-economic situations and is a strong advocate for the user-centric design.
As team leader for Chow:Hill’s health team, and a Fellow of the NZIA, Anner is passionate about actively mentoring younger graduates and creating an inclusive environment of equal opportunity for learning and excellence.
